Winter Concert Monday December 16th 6:30pm Clover School District Auditorium

Our annual winter concert is December 16th. This is a mandatory event for all band students. Students not in attendance will receive a 0% for a test grade. All students will need to be in concert black attire for this event. (Boys black dress pants, black dress shirt, black belt, and black dress shoes. Ladies black dress is school dress code or black slacks, black top, and dress shoes.) You may purchase the students attire anywhere you would like. If you have any questions please email Mr. Gibson.

We will be taking a bus on December 10th to Fort Mill Middle School for York County Auditions.  Students should bring money for dinner as we will stop before we get to Fort Mill.

Tentative Itinerary :

Depart CMS at 2:00pm
Get dinner from Wendys or Chick-Fil-A  2:45pm (Cherry Rd Rock Hill)
Arrive at Fort Mill Middle by 4:15pm
Auditions 4:30pm-9:00pm (Approxametly)
Return to CMS by 9:30pm

If you would like to pick up your child from Fort Mill Middle School you will need to notify Mr. Gibson in advanced. Please contact him if you have any questions.

I will need help with the following:

Teachers/parent help 3:45pm-5:00pm. ( 3-5 people)

• I need help with feeding the student pizza at CMS
• Monitoring students in band rooms
• Making sure they getting changed in concert black
• Monitoring the bathrooms
• Help with navigating the students to the busses for transport to the auditorium

5:00pm – 6:15pm at the auditorium

• I need some parents /teachers monitoring kids in the audience (Sitting/standing near students to make sure they are quiet while I warm up and tune the bands before the performance.)
• Monitor kids using restrooms
• Checking in kids who have been dropped off at the auditorium.
• Making sure students put belongings in designated places behind the stage. 

6:30pm concert

• All parents and chaperones relax and enjoy the concert.
• Teachers/administrators will be near the students at this point to monitor behavior.

7th and 8th grade Atlanta Payment Update from Tour Company

The Next payment of $100 is due on January 17th.

Trip insurance is available for an additional $25.50.  I will be receiving a form from the company in January with this information if you would like to purchase this.
