Concert Festival is Today!!
Concert festival is today. The concert will start at 1pm in the Nations Ford High School Auditorium in Fort Mill SC. All students will be receiving a grade for this event. All students will need to wear their concert black to the event. We will be rehearsing before we leave to the event on March 27th. All conflicts should be worked out for all band students to attend ALL rehearsals and performances. The band will be judged and will be receiving a rating for our festival performance on March 27th. After the performance students will be going out to lunch before heading back to Clover Middle School. If you have any questions please email Mr. Gibson.

In preparation for Concert festival the 7thgrade honor band students and 8thgrade band students will combine during homeroom/academy time to prepare the sight-reading portion of concert festival on the following days:

Pre- Festival Concert March 12th
Students have received the itinerary for the event. All students will need to wear their concert black to the event. We will be rehearsing after school on March 12thbefore the bus takes us over to the Clover School District Auditorium. The pre-festival concert starts at 7pm. Clover Middle School Band will be the 3rd band performing. Students will be judged and receive valuable feedback to help us get better for our festival performance. The concert will feature the CMS band, OMS Band, CHS Wind Concert Band and CHA Wind Ensemble. The concert should last about an hour.

7th and 8th grade Honor Band Members Tomorrow Is A Mandatory Rehearsal After School
This is a reminder that there will be a mandatory rehearsal this Friday March 8th 3:40pm-6:00pm. All students will be receiving a grade. All conflicts should be worked out for all band students to attend ALL rehearsals and performances. Mandatory Rehearsal for 8th Grade Band and 7th Grade Honor Band Members Friday March 8th 3:40pm-6:00pm

MARCH 12th PRE FESTIVAL CONCERT FOR 7TH GRADE HONOR BAND AND 8TH GRADE BAND
Students will be receiving an itinerary for our pre-festival concert tomorrow during class. All students will need to wear their concert black to the event. We will be rehearsing after school on March 12thbefore the bus takes us over to the Clover School District Auditorium. The pre-festival concert starts at 7pm. Students will be judged and receive valuable feedback to help us get better for our festival performance. The concert will feature the CMS band, OMS Band, CHS Wind Concert Band and CHA Wind Ensemble. The concert should last about an hour.
MARCH 12thClover School District Auditorium:
3:40pm – Students report to the band room
3:45 –4:15 Take attendance/eat pizza from pizza man
4:15 – 4:30 – Students will change into concert attire
4:30 5:00- Students will warm -up and rehearse
5:00- Students will load buses to the Clover School District Auditorium
5:15 – Students will arrive at the Clover School District Auditorium
5:30 – 6:45 – Students will rehearse on stage/be seated in auditorium
7:00 – Pre-Festival Concert begins
After concert please take your child. There will be no bus taking students back to CMS.
Solo and Ensemble
Students signed up for solo and ensemble will receive their itinerary closer we get to the event. Solo and ensemble is at Sullivian Middle School in Rock Hill. We will be taking a bus to the event. Students will be receiving their times sometime closer to the event. Once times have been confirmed I will be handing out more information to our 107 students who will be representing CMS this year at the event.

This is a reminder that there will be a mandatory rehearsal this Friday March 8th 3:40pm-6:00pm. All students will be receiving a grade. All conflicts should be worked out for all band students to attend ALL rehearsals and performances. This Friday we will be having a guest conductor working with our band to prepare us for concert festival. If you have any questions please email Mr. Gibson.
Information has been handed out to the 8th grade band and 7th grade honor band students about their upcoming Concert Festival performance at Nations Ford High School on March 27th at 1pm. Students will ride the bus to the event. An itinerary will be emailed out in the next couple of weeks. Please be aware of the mandatory rehearsals and performances.
