Please have your band book by January 5th 2021

If you need to purchase a book it is $12 made payable to CMS. Once your order is placed, Mr. Gibson should be receiving your book from Pecknel music.

If your want to order the book online it would be cheaper.  you can order through amazon or any music retailer.

8th grade students should get Foundations for Superior Performance for their instrument it looks like this:

7th Grade should get Essential Elements book 2 for their instrument.  It should have a picture of YOUR instrument on the book.  It is a red book similar to this:

 Awesome job at the 7th and 8th grade winter concert! I am proud of all our 7th and 8th grade band members for working hard and putting on a great performance.  

More music and information will be handed out in the next couple of weeks about the spring.

WINTER CONCER DECEMBER 4th for 7th and 8th Grade Band

 Our 7th grade and 8th grade winter concert is Friday December 4th. 

7th grade Concert is 6:00pm-6:30pm in the CMS GYM

8th grade concert is 7:00pm-7:30pm in the CMS GYM

Due to Covid restrictions students are only allowed to have their parents and siblings at the concert to reduce the crowd size. 

All spectators will be required to wear a mask and social distance during the performance. 

All students will be required to wear their concert black attire. 

Boys: Black dress pants, black dress shirt, belt, black shoes.

6th grade band students will have a test on #14-18 in the band book on Wednesday or Thursday this week.

 Practice #14 - 18 in the band book.  Students will be asked to play one example. Grades will be posted on power school.  Students who are not happy with their grade can make up the assignment in person before class or after class within the 9 week grading period.

Students can select 1 number to submit for each virtual day at home. 

6th grade students will have their winter concert at the end of January.

 There is not concert this Friday for 6th grade.  the 6th grade concert will be at the end of January.  More information will be provided in the next couple of weeks. 

Jazz Band will Rehearse on Friday From 7:30am-8:30am

 Jazz band is not playing in the concert on Friday we are only rehearsing in the morning.
