Region Band Forms are Due October 18th

Students will be asked to play an expert from their concert music in 7th and 8th grade. 

6th grade students will have to play the five note scale.

CMS 6th, 7th, 8th Grade Winter Concert is December 9th in the CMS gym. More info will be provided in the next couple of weeks.

We will be having auditions for any 7th or 8th grader interested in being in our combined 7th and 8th grade honor band. This ensemble will meet once a week after school. More information about the ensemble and auditions will be handed out in the next couple of weeks.

7th and 8th Grade Student Who Will be Doing Region Band

 Please make sure to complete your form by October 18th to be signed up for region band.  A video will be sent to parents about the experience in about a week.

If you have to make up an assignment please see Mr. Gibson to schedule a time. You will have until the end of the grading period to get all your grades in.

Please make sure all forms are turned in. ( instrument agreement form or Packet)

8th Grade Middle School Band Night October 22nd Update

 We will be having 8th grade band night Friday October 22nd.  All 8th grade band members will attend the Friday night football game and perform with the Clover HS marching band.  This is a mandatory event and students will be getting a grade for the event. 


**Parents will take their child to the stadium next to Blue Eagle Academy. You will see the High School Band Trailer and the HS band members.  Go to the Tent to find Mr. Gibson to check in. I will have more specific information on where to meet the closer we get to the event. 


Parents can sit in the stands while the MS students are performing with the HS students.


Tentative Schedule:

3pm-  Students leave CMS 

6:00pm - report to Blue Eagle Academy where the HS band trailer will be and find the tent to sign in with Mr. Gibson


6:15pm Students will warm up with HS marching band 

7:00pm students will play the fight song with the HS marching band during pre-game on the field

7:30pm- halftime students will sit and play with  the Clover High School marching band 

Half time-  MS band will watch the Clover High School band perform.

After halftime parents can sign their child out and leave or sign their child out and stay for the remainder of the game. ALL 8th grade students will need to be signed out for the evening before departing.

Material Check Tomorrow

Material Check Friday 9-24-21

Students will have a material check on Friday 9-24-21.

All students will need to have their band book, music, pencil and instrument to receive a 100%.


If your child still needs a band book they can purchase one at school for $12.  See Mr. Gibson if you need a band book.

Jazz Band Auditions are this Friday after school 3:15pm-5:00pm

Jazz Band Auditions for 7th and 8th grade band students will be this Friday after school from 3:15pm-5:00pm.

- Students will rehearse the audition material together then students will be asked to perform the selections. The audition process will be explained to the students prior to the audition.

- The results will be posted on Monday outside the band room door.

- Jazz band will rehearse one day during the week in the mornings and one rehearsal after school during the week. The days and times will be announced when the audition results are posted on September 23rd.

4:00pm-5:30pm - Rehearse for performance

5:30pm Load the bus to the stadium


6:15pm Students will warm up with HS marching band

7:00pm students will play the fight song with the HS marching band during pre-game

7:30pm- halftime students will sit with HS marching band

Half time MS band will watch the HS band perform.
