Our annual Winter Concert is this Thursday December 9^th.  I hope to see you all at CMS next week. Our kids have been working really hard to put on a quality performance.  Please see the video above with final concert reminders for parents and students.

Here are some reminders:

6th grade concert is 5:30pm-6:00pm in the CMS GYM

7th grade concert is 6:15pm-6:45pm in the CMS GYM

8th grade concert is 7:00pm-7:30pm in the CMS GYM

* 6th grade students will need to report to the gym at 5:00pm

Region Band Auditions January 8th at Woodruff HS

The auditions are on January 8th at Woodruff HS.  Times will be given to students the closer we get to the event.  It is recommended that all students take lessons on their instrument.  There is a higher success rate for making the band if the students take one on one lessons. York County Honor Band Auditions Have Been Cancelled for December 7th. There will be no make up. Please read email below.

Good morning, 

Thank you to everyone who submitted registrations for the Honor Band program for this year! Unfortunately, after a great deal of consideration, we are going to have to cancel the honor band program for 2022. The participation took a significant hit compared to previous years - much larger than anticipated. In a typical year of Honor Band, we would have approximately 400-450 participants signed up to audition. This year, we’ve only received a total of 135 and have several schools who are unable to participate. These numbers just do not support us holding the clinic. For those of you who have already submitted your registrations and payments, I will have refunds sent out this week. 

Our hope is that collectively we can work together to bring this important program back next school year and continue to support the middle school bands in future years! Thank you all for your support of the Honor Band program through the years, and we wish each of you a joyful holiday season!

Congratulations to all the students who will be representing the CMS band at ALL COUNTY AUDITIONS AT FORT MILL MS ON DECEMBER 7TH

York County Honor Band auditions will be held at Fort Mill MS in Fort Mill SC.  Students will need a ride to the event. Student times for auditions will be handed out to the students within the next three weeks.

Results should be posted about 2 days after the event. If your child makes the Honor Band the clinic will be January 25th and 26th at Northwestern HS. More information will be handed out to the students who make this ensemble.

Congratulations to all the students who will be representing the CMS band at ALL COUNTY AUDITIONS AT FORT MILL MS ON DECEMBER 7TH

Congratulations to all the students who will be auditioning for York County Honor Band. 

York County Honor Band auditions will be held at Fort Mill MS in Fort Mill SC.  Students will need a ride to the event. Student times for auditions will be handed out to the students within the next three weeks.

Results should be posted about 2 days after the event. If your child makes the Honor Band the clinic will be January 25th and 26th at Northwestern HS. More information will be handed out to the students who make this ensemble.

The auditions are on January 8th at Woodruff HS.  Times will be given to students the closer we get to the event.  It is recommended that all students take lessons on their instrument.  There is a higher success rate for making the band if the students take one on one lessons. Winter Concert December 9th 2021 in the CMS GYM

Our 6th, 7th and 8th grade winter concert is Thursday December 9th. 

6th grade concert is 5:30pm-6:00pm in the CMS GYM

7th grade concert is 6:15pm-6:45pm in the CMS GYM

8th grade concert is 7:00pm-7:30pm in the CMS GYM

* 6th grade students will need to report to the gym at 5pm

*7th grade students will need to report to the gym by 6:00pm

*8th grade students need to report to the gym by 6:45pm

* Students and parents are encouraged to stay and watch the other grade level performance. 

*All students will be required to wear their concert black attire.
