All students should have a band instrument. Please email Mr. Gibson if you still need one. Pecknel Music should be dropping off the third load of instruments today for 6th grade.

7th and 8th grade students

The sign up sheets for ensembles will be be up for two more weeks.  Please take advantage of the musical opportunities that are being offered at CMS.

7th and 8th grade students interested in switching instruments please sign up on the bulliten board in the band room.

All students should be getting their instrument at the end of the day.

Parents,
It is an expectation that all students in 6th 7th and 8th grade are practicing the material presented in class.  Please make sure your child has their instrument as they do have band HW every night.

Students can come to the band room in the morning to practice as early as 7:00am.

All students have received music folders. Please make sure your name is on your folder.

Please make sure you have your band book.

If you need to purchase a book it is $12 made payable to CMS.  Once your order is placed, Mr. Gibson should be receiving your book from Pecknel music.

Students will be continuing to go over classroom rules and expectations this week.

Band Tee Shirts for Sale Until September 20th

All students have received a tee shirt order form.  All tee shirts from Youth Small to Adult XL are $12.  Adult 2X and 3X are $14.

Make checks payable to: Clover Middle School - Band

Send order form and money to Mr. Gibson. Please have your money enclosed in an envelope with the students name on it. Also, label the envelope “Tee Shirt Money.”

Tee Shirt Orders will be taken from Monday August 26th and will end Friday, September 6th. The tee shirt order will be placed on September 20th.

Students should receive their tee shirts by the third week of October. This shirt is not a part of the student’s concert attire. 

****Parents and students may purchase as many tee shirts as they would like.****

Welcome Back Band Students!!

Welcome back students,

There will be forms to go home today about our 2019-2020 band tee shirt as well as other important information concerning band this upcoming school year.

7th and 8th grade students please make sure you have your band book by October 1st.

6th grade students should have their band book by Friday.

If you need to purchase a band book please make checks payable to CMS.  Once your order has been placed it will take about one week for your book to arrive.

WW players should have their own reeds this year.

7th and 8th grade Vandoreen V12(Clarinets) V16 Saxophones) strength 3.

6th grade Juno until October then switch to above.

Brass players should have valve oil and slide grease.


Students will be auditioning for ensembles within the next 2 weeks.  More info will be provided in the week.
